King Mirodas of Boar Piece

King Mirodas of Boar Piece, a traveler, after many years abroad, returns to his community deep in rural Jamaica with his sanity out of tune. Upon his arrival, he declares himself king of the village. Though his antics and mannerism are a source of amusement to the villagers, his generous and gentlemanly ways earn him the love of the community. His great effort in guiding a bright young boy from desperate poverty to educational prominence is his most admirable deed.

In this book, as is the case in the author’s previous two, the interesting and amusing manner in which aspects of Jamaica’s cultural legacy have been documented are remarkably incomparable. As the younger readers ponder the reality of the events, the older readers revisit their nostalgic youthful years when these ideas were current.
