ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Earl McKenzie  (also known as St. Hope Earl McKenzie), was born in Mt. Charles in the hills of St. Andrew, Jamaica. He was educated at Paisley Elementary School, Oberlin High School, Mico College, Alberta College of Art, Columbia University, and the University of British Columbia where he received a PhD in Philosophy.

He is a former head of the English Department at Church Teacher’s College, Mandeville and is retired from the University of the West Indies, Mona, where he taught philosophy.

He is the author of three collections of short stories, one novel, three volumes of poetry, one multi-genre book and two texts of academic philosophy. He has had five exhibitions of his paintings.
