ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Pauline Forrest – Watson was born inTrenchTown,Kingstonwhere she met the legendary musicians, Bob Marley and the Wailers. Her personal stellar career began with a Gold Medal and National Award for Singing in the 1976 Festival Competition. Since then, she has received numerous awards including the Nathan Brissett Award for the Most Outstanding Music Student at the Mico Teachers’ Collegein 1977 and in 1995, the Jamaica Industry Award for Best Classical Female Singer. She was also twice honoured by theMicoTeachers Collegefor Distinguished Service and Dedication to the Growth and Development of Music Education in Jamaica. Currently, she is Senior Lecturer and Head of the Voice Department. She is also conductor of the University of Technology Choir.
